We held onto these for a long time before finally deciding what we wanted them to become.

We started by completely disassembling the chairs and sandblasting the steel frames to remove their original enamel finish. From there, the frames received fresh black enamel in a satin finish, while the exposed stainless steel was carefully sanded and machine brushed before being sealed under a matte clear coat.

To finish them, we upholstered the seats in velvet, a softer contrast against the black enamel and brushed stainless steel.
